On this walk you will discover how the River Wey has been important to the growth and development of Guildford since the 6th century, from the earliest settlement to the advent of mills, ironworks and wood yards. This beautiful walk takes us through Ferry Lane and on to St. Catherine's Hill, the site of a fair since 1308 and from here back into town using the towpath, which has been used for generations for work and pleasure.
Available to groups or as part of the Guildford Festival.
