For nearly 30 years, this famous author spent part of each year at his unmarried sisters' home, The Chestnuts, where he died in 1898.  On this walk you will see the buildings associated with him and hear how he spent his days writing, visiting and taking photographs.

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland

This walk celebrates the life and times of the Rev. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, his connections with Guildford and the surrounding area. The Chestnuts, the Alice Garden and St.Mary’s Church form a major part of the tour, together with the museum's collection of memorabilia.

A fascinating walk in the footsteps of one of our best known childrens’ writers.

Available to groups or as part of the Guildford Festival.
