
Access for the the walks is generally on public footpaths with kerbs to negotiate in places, it should be noted that Guildford is on a hill and although not steep it cannot be considered flat.
Access for Historic Guildford contains the following constraints:
Abbots Hospital

1 small step through entrance gate and 2 steps plus doorframe into covered area, but large wooden door can be opened. Handrail on right.
Holy Trinity Church

13 steps on downhill side of church - handrail on left and right of steps.

3 steps into church via side door and hand rail.
Ramp proposed for the future.
Guildford House

2 steps into shop area.


Staircase up to the galleries and down to the restaurant and Brew House.
Guildhall


Ramp available but 1 step, or with notice, the side door will be opened.

3 steps into Guildhall

Staircase upstairs to chamber.
Undercroft

7 steps down from High Street with hand rail

Further 8 steps after a small threshold step. Handrail on both sides.
St Mary’s Church

3 narrow steps through side entrance near altar and low doorframe, but the guide should be able to go through the church and open main doors if necessary.
